Employee Wellbeing Programmes: Workplace Wellbeing Consultant

If stress, burnout, low morale or poor day-to-day energy are starting to affect your team, I provide practical workplace wellbeing support that helps people feel better, work better and contribute more consistently.

As a workplace wellbeing consultant, I work with organisations that want something more personal, proactive and useful than a generic wellbeing app or a one-off motivational talk. I help employers put the right support in place so staff feel better supported, teams become more resilient, and the organisation functions more effectively as a result.

I deliver employee wellbeing programmes, corporate wellbeing workshops and ongoing support for organisations that want a calmer, more credible and more practical approach to staff wellbeing.

Why workplace wellbeing matters commercially

Most organisations aren’t investing in wellbeing for the sake of it. They’re doing it because poor wellbeing shows up in expensive, disruptive ways — lower morale, more stress, weaker concentration, reduced consistency, more absence, and the hidden drag of presenteeism.

It can also feed directly into one of the biggest concerns many employers now have: employee retention strategies. When people are exhausted, flat, unsupported or running on empty for too long, it becomes harder to keep good people engaged and committed.

That’s why workplace wellbeing needs to be treated as more than a nice extra. Done properly, it can support:

  • Healthier, more resilient staff
  • Better day-to-day energy and morale
  • Improved focus and consistency
  • Reduced absence and presenteeism
  • Stronger team culture
  • More practical support for retention and long-term performance

If you’re already seeing signs of stress, low resilience or declining motivation, it usually makes sense to act early rather than wait until the problem becomes more embedded.

What I offer

I provide flexible corporate wellbeing services and workplace wellbeing services that can be shaped around your team, your pressures and the kind of support you feel would be most helpful. This usually falls into two broad categories:

1. Corporate wellbeing workshops and training

This is often the best place to begin. I deliver focused, practical sessions such as:

  • Corporate wellbeing workshops
  • Workplace wellbeing workshops
  • Workplace wellbeing training
  • Workplace resilience training
  • Staff resilience training

These sessions are designed to be clear, engaging and relevant to real working life — not fluffy, preachy or overcomplicated. Depending on your priorities, sessions can cover areas such as: workplace stress management, resilience and recovery, energy and fatigue, sleep and daily habits, movement and sedentary working, and building healthier routines that are realistic, not idealistic.

Entry option — £750 (2-hour interactive workshop / lunch-and-learn)

This is a strong starting point if you want to open up the conversation, give people something useful and practical, and begin supporting staff wellbeing in a more credible way.

What corporate leaders say about the workshops:

“Rob presented to the team at Wirral Methodist Housing Association several times and on each occasion he imparted huge amounts of really valuable, actionable insights… I also benefited greatly from a 1 to 1 session with Rob, as did a number of my colleagues. I would strongly recommend people listen to Rob and make use of his services.”

Mark Lowe, Director of Finance & Resources, Wirral Methodist Housing Association

“I was in the office after the second talk finished and everyone was buzzing about it and couldn’t wait to implement what they had learnt.”

Helen Davies, Strategic Legal Marketing Lead, Oliver & Co Solicitors

“Thanks for presenting to us Rob! Your sessions were excellent and very informative! Feedback has been fantastic!”

David Owen, ex-CEO, Oliver & Co Solicitors

2. Ongoing support and wellbeing programmes

For organisations that want more than a one-off session, I also provide more embedded support through longer-term employee wellbeing programmes. This can include:

  • A tailored staff wellbeing programme
  • Broader employee wellbeing services for a team or department
  • Ongoing monthly corporate wellbeing services
  • Flexible workplace wellbeing services delivered in person, online or in a hybrid format
  • A more ‘joined-up’ approach to wellness initiatives in the workplace

Ongoing support — from £995 per month

This includes one full day each month of support, delivered in person or online, which can combine group sessions, one-to-one consultations and wider wellbeing input as needed, plus ad-hoc support throughout the month. If the goal is to create a healthier culture, improve resilience, support retention and reduce the drag of poor wellbeing over time, this is usually the more effective route.

What clients say about ongoing programmes:

“The one to one sessions have been invaluable for a number of people who have been able to focus in on specific areas of interest and receive health coaching that they otherwise might not have received. We would recommend Rob as someone who gets to know an organisation, provides relevant health and wellbeing information and forms an effective relationship to deliver personal wellbeing improvements.”

Paul Carhart, CEO, Wirral Methodist Housing Association

Why my approach is different

A lot of organisations already have some form of wellbeing support in place on paper. But in practice, staff often don’t engage with it, don’t relate to it, or only turn to it when things have already become difficult.

That’s one reason I take a more personal and practical approach. As a corporate wellbeing consultant, I’m not offering a faceless platform or a reactive helpline. My work is more personal, proactive and practical than a standard employee assistance programme.

That means I take time to understand your organisation properly, tailor support to your realities, focus on practical change (not wellbeing clichés), and help build support that feels human, relevant and worth engaging with.

Who this is for

My work is likely to be a good fit if your organisation is looking for a named expert rather than a generic provider, a more personal alternative to standard ‘off-the-shelf’ provision, and practical support around stress, resilience and healthier working habits.

I can work with smaller organisations, individual departments or larger teams. The key factor isn’t size alone — it’s whether there’s a genuine willingness to support staff wellbeing in a practical and meaningful way.

Programme Delivery

Support can be delivered in person, online, or in a hybrid format. I work with organisations all across the UK.

In-person delivery is included within a 50-mile radius of Chester. Travel costs are quoted separately for locations beyond 50 miles from Chester. Online delivery is available UK-wide.

Frequently asked questions

Is this only for large organisations?

Not at all. I can work with smaller organisations, individual departments or larger teams. What matters most is whether there’s a real appetite to improve staff wellbeing in a practical way.

What’s the difference between the workshop and the programme?

The £750 workshop is a focused 2-hour intervention — a good way to begin. The ongoing programme is for organisations that want more embedded support over time, with a minimum 3-month commitment.

Can this be delivered online?

Yes. Online delivery works well for geographically spread teams, busy organisations, or those who want flexibility.

Do you travel?

Yes. In-person programme delivery is included within 50 miles of Chester. Beyond that, travel costs are quoted separately. Online programme delivery is available UK-wide.

Is this the same as an employee assistance programme?

No. A standard employee assistance programme is often reactive and used only once someone is already struggling. My role is more proactive, practical and relationship-led, with support that can be seen and felt more clearly across the organisation.

Arrange an initial confidential conversation

If you’d like to explore what kind of support may be right for your team, the next step is simply to get in touch. Whether you’re considering a one-off workshop or a broader wellbeing programme, I’d be very happy to have an initial, confidential conversation about your organisation, your current challenges and the kind of support that may be most useful.
